Upload progress handler using cache framework
Ticket [#2070](http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/2070) allows you to create your own file upload handlers. Here's an example handler that tracks a file's upload so you might display a progress meter after form submission. The snippet has two parts, the upload handler which tracks progress, and an upload_progress view used to report back to the browser. The upload handler uses [django's cache framework](http://www.djangoproject.com/documentation/cache/#the-low-level-cache-api) to store the data, which can then be retrieved by the view to send back to the browser. Note: Your form's http post request must have a query parameter (X-Progress-ID) sent along with it, which should contain a unique key to identify the upload. That key will also be sent with your ajax requests to the upload_progress view to retrieve the progress data. Setup: place the UploadProgressCachedHandler anywhere you like on the python path, and add to your settings.py: from django.conf import global_settings FILE_UPLOAD_HANDLERS = ('path.to.UploadProgressCachedHandler', ) + \ global_settings.FILE_UPLOAD_HANDLERS Set up the upload_progress view in any of your apps along with a corresponding entry in your urlconf. Ajax required decorator
Checks if the request is an AJAX request, if not it returns an HttpResponseNotFound. It looks for the XMLHttpRequest value in the HTTP_X_REQUESTED_WITH header. Major javascript frameworks (jQuery, etc.) send this header in every AJAX request.

A templatetag to insert the output of another view (or local URL)
Inserts the output of a view, using fully qualified view name (and then some args), a or local Django URL. {% view view_or_url arg[ arg2] k=v [k2=v2...] %} This might be helpful if you are trying to do 'on-server' AJAX of page panels. Most browsers can call back to the server to get panels of content asynchonously, whilst others (such as mobiles that don't support AJAX very well) can have a template that embeds the output of the URL synchronously into the main page. Yay! Go the mobile web! Follow standard templatetag instructions for installing. **IMPORTANT**: the calling template must receive a context variable called 'request' containing the original HttpRequest. This means you should be OK with permissions and other session state. **ALSO NOTE**: that middleware is not invoked on this 'inner' view. Example usage... Load dynamically loaded form javascript assets using dajax
I am used to load forms directly into modals using dajax but I found out I had to load the scripts using an ajax call from the browser. You can see here an example of a dynamically loaded form and the function used to load the scripts.

Makes models orderable on the change list page of the admin using drag and drop with jQuery UI (via sortable()). So you can order your objects in more easy way. Inspired by snippets [#1053](http://djangosnippets.org/snippets/1053/) and [#998](http://djangosnippets.org/snippets/998/) First, ordering field to your model (default called 'order). You can specify other name for this field, but you should add 'order_field' attr to model (i.e order_field = 'your_new_order_field_name') Also, snippet adds 'order_link' field to admin's changelist and hides it by javascript.
